Toronto Soccer Fans to Relaunch

The more observant among you may have noticed that Toronto Soccer Fans has been dormant for some time.
Various work/life changes have meant that there was insufficient time to keep this site updated to the extent that it deserved.

The Home game on Saturday was an opener in more ways than one. An Eye Opener. The passion of the crowd was fanstastic to see, and was reflected by most of the team. I am shortly relaunching this site as a suitable complement to that.

Check back soon, and any suggestions can be sent via the contact form

Toronto FC Shirt Design

Wed 15th Nov, 2006 11:21am - rumour

A very plausible (and somewhat verified) leaked design for the kit.

Don't quote me on this, because not everything you read on the internet is true, but this could well be the design for the new Toronto FC shirt.

The leak has been 'verified' by Logan's Revenge, a good source of insider info on the MLS. The rest of the images can be seen here, which would add credence to the picture. If you were going to fake a kit drawing, would you really bother with hoodies as well? It's possible it's a 'leaked' image to thwart the illegal shirt counterfitting operations, but I don't think that they'll be wasting their looms on Toronto kit quite yet, so seems unlikely.

If so, what are my thoughts? Well, home kit first - apart from the whole 'red' thing (a lifelong Man City fan finds it painful to wear anything red), I think I like it. Retro collar but with modern very MLS swooshes. I was hoping for something slightly more in keeping with the logo, but hey, could be worse.
It could be grey.
Oh, we have one of those too. :-/ It has a horrible echo of the ill-fated ManUre kit that they dumped after one match of an ignominious defeat, that the overpriced ponces scapegoated on the grey shirt being 'too hard to see'. Ponces that they were, I can sort of see the point. Not my favorite, but hell, it's a shirt :-) I think the players are more important.
