Toronto Soccer Fans to Relaunch

The more observant among you may have noticed that Toronto Soccer Fans has been dormant for some time.
Various work/life changes have meant that there was insufficient time to keep this site updated to the extent that it deserved.

The Home game on Saturday was an opener in more ways than one. An Eye Opener. The passion of the crowd was fanstastic to see, and was reflected by most of the team. I am shortly relaunching this site as a suitable complement to that.

Further on Pressley and Thompson

Fri 29th Dec, 2006 1:31pm - rumour

Some followup on rumours from a few days ago that Mo was looking at Steven Pressley

There has been nothing out of the Toronto FC camp in the past few days, I assume they're all having a nice holiday. There have, though, been further details on the rumours I reported the other day regarding Scottish players Mo had been looking at. Steven Pressley was watching Charlton vs. Fulham, so looked to be going to Charlton Athletic in the window, but it has just been announced that Celtic pipped them to the signing. The BBC report injury-hit makes no mention of Toronto's interest.

The potential signing that had me more interested - Alan Thompson - is still a possibility. Reports have it that Leeds are interested, but they currently sit second bottom in the Championship (2nd division), and the idea of a relegation battle under the inexperienced management of Dennis Wise may not be appealing. Regardless, I suspect that MoJo has a considerable number of alternative potential targets under wraps, and the first signing in January may still be, as with Esky, a surprise to us all.
