Toronto Soccer Fans to Relaunch

The more observant among you may have noticed that Toronto Soccer Fans has been dormant for some time.
Various work/life changes have meant that there was insufficient time to keep this site updated to the extent that it deserved.

The Home game on Saturday was an opener in more ways than one. An Eye Opener. The passion of the crowd was fanstastic to see, and was reflected by most of the team. I am shortly relaunching this site as a suitable complement to that.

Check back soon, and any suggestions can be sent via the contact form

Eskandarian trade to New York rumoured

Thu 11th Jan, 2007 12:45pm - rumour

Don't believe everything you read online, but there is a quiet murmur that Toronto FC may be negotiating some sort of deal with New York, using Alecko Eskandarian as a bargaining chip.

Dubious rumour of the day time. After he missed the US training camp this month without so much as a peep from anybody (injury was mooted, but nobody has come forward with an actual reason), there is a quiet rumour that Mo may be working a trade with Red Bull New York for Alecko Eskandarian.

I find it hard to imagine that the club would have gone to the effort of the trade with ... Read More ...

Names to watch for in January

Tue 2nd Jan, 2007 11:15am - rumour

A summary of some of the likely targets for Mo this January for trades from foreign leagues while the transfer window is open.

The international transfer window is now open for business, and with it the annual rumour-mill extravaganza that goes along with it. The most likely for Toronto FC is that we are on the lookout for quality Canadian players. The club is going to need 7-8 native players on the roster to satisfy MLS regulations, and not least to satisfy the patriotic sentiments of the fans. Currently we can count 5 (Sutton, Braz, Brennan, Reda, Pozniak), so there is still room for a couple. That said, many of... Read More ...

Further on Pressley and Thompson

Fri 29th Dec, 2006 1:31pm - rumour

Some followup on rumours from a few days ago that Mo was looking at Steven Pressley

There has been nothing out of the Toronto FC camp in the past few days, I assume they're all having a nice holiday. There have, though, been further details on the rumours I reported the other day regarding Scottish players Mo had been looking at. Steven Pressley was watching Charlton vs. Fulham, so looked to be going t... Read More ...
