Toronto Soccer Fans to Relaunch

The more observant among you may have noticed that Toronto Soccer Fans has been dormant for some time.
Various work/life changes have meant that there was insufficient time to keep this site updated to the extent that it deserved.

The Home game on Saturday was an opener in more ways than one. An Eye Opener. The passion of the crowd was fanstastic to see, and was reflected by most of the team. I am shortly relaunching this site as a suitable complement to that.

Check back soon, and any suggestions can be sent via the contact form

The Home Opener saw a sea of scarves. Lets make BMO Field into a sea of red shirts, and show your support for the team.

Open Trials for Toronto FC

Mon 6th Nov, 2006 3:22pm - news

As expected, there will be open tryouts for the coming season's MLS team Toronto FC

Think you can play with the likes of Jim Brennan and, er, well, Jim Brennan for now...? Toronto FC have announced they'll be holding Open Tryouts in December for players.
Sign up by November 26th at The Official Site and you could be playing on BMO field in front of 20-odd thousand fans (we hope). Sadly there is a fee of $120 to participate, so for those of us who would otherwise have turned up, Canadian Idol style for a good day out and a bit of ridicule, it's not so open :-D
Personally I would, but still don't qualify for the 'Canadian' part, and can't really see TOfc using on of their 3 international slots for someone with a pedigree of Coleridge FC [English league division 123] and Deportivo Chocante [Guatemalan highlands league]. Still. Rags to riches may await.
